Snapshot

Chris found this photo of his dad yesterday and asked me to scan it into the computer.  He wanted to post it in regard to Veteran's Day, to remember the man who was his dad and would served with pride.

I wish I knew the story behind this picture.  Why was my father-in-law wearing a welding mask while his photo was being taken?  What was he thinking behind that smile?  It's fascinating, and truly sad that he isn't hear to tell me the answers.  But boy, can I see my husband in the twinkle of his eye.
