For Veterans Day, Sabrina's brownie troop visited a local memory care facility to celebrate with the residents. Now, 17 6 and 7 year olds could have caused quite a ruckus, acting crazy and refusing to participate or interact with the seniors, but they were lovely. They sang songs, delivered flowers to each vet in attendance by name, and gave everyone there a special door decoration they worked on for weeks. And they smiled the whole time.
Afterwards, one of the staff told us his job was to make the residents smile at least once during a day. He said we'd done his job for him today. Way to go, Girls!
